DodoGrid Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 10, 2026

Service Provider: Hua Shi. Published at: https://mianwa.tech/dodogrid-api/conversion/legal/privacy-en.html. This policy applies to the DodoGrid iOS / iPadOS app distributed through the App Store and its supporting web services.

DodoGrid is a bead pattern creation tool. We value your privacy and aim to keep image processing and project editing on your local device whenever possible. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can manage it.

Information We Collect

When you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the sign-in credential and stable user identifier provided by Apple to create and identify your account. You may choose Apple's Hide My Email feature. We do not disclose your Apple account information to other users.

If you purchase a membership, we receive transaction identifiers, product IDs, subscription status, expiration dates, and refund or revocation status through StoreKit and App Store Server Notifications. We use this information to determine your membership benefits, such as daily image conversion and export allowances.

To enforce free and membership allowances, we record daily image conversion counts, export counts, operation IDs, account IDs, request times, and necessary API logs. Operation IDs prevent the same operation from being counted more than once.

By default, image conversion is performed on your local device whenever possible. Images are uploaded to the server for processing only when you actively enable the background conversion service. Server-side image processing is used solely to generate bead-grid results. Uploaded images are not displayed as public content and are not used to train models.

Cloud backup is not enabled automatically by default. When you actively tap “Back Up to Cloud,” we upload the data needed to restore your creative environment, including bead project files and thumbnails, original or processed images embedded in projects, gallery and favorites organization, showcase records, inventory, custom palettes, app preferences, nickname and custom avatar, and an optional device name that you provide. Cloud backups are used only for cross-device restoration after you sign in. They are not displayed publicly or used to train models. You may choose not to use this feature without affecting local creation.

For security, attack prevention, and troubleshooting, we may record IP addresses, request paths, request sizes, status codes, request IDs, API response times, and error information. We do not intentionally record image contents, raw Sign in with Apple credentials, or payment credentials in logs.

How We Use Information

How Long We Keep Information

Account information is retained until you delete your account or for a period required by law. A cloud backup is retained until you replace it with a new backup or delete your account. When you delete your account, associated cloud backups, sessions, allowances, and project-service data are also deleted. Subscription transaction records, security logs, or compliance records are retained only for as long as needed to process refunds or disputes, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations, and are de-identified whenever possible. Daily allowance records are generally kept for no more than 180 days, and server request logs are generally kept for no more than 30 days. Images uploaded for background conversion are used only for that processing request and are not retained long-term as user content after the request ends.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. To provide the service, Apple, cloud server and database services, and security and monitoring services may process relevant data only for Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, subscription notifications, account allowances, background image conversion, cloud backup, security alerts, and troubleshooting. We require these service providers to protect data to a level equivalent to this policy and applicable requirements.

Your Rights

You can sign out in the app or delete your entire account and associated cloud data in account settings. You can keep the app in local-first mode by not using “Back Up to Cloud”; deleting your account withdraws consent related to account cloud services. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an auto-renewable subscription managed by Apple. If you still have a subscription, cancel it in App Store subscription management. You may also contact us through the support email to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account-related information.

Children's Privacy

DodoGrid does not offer account services specifically to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without a guardian's consent, please contact us so we can address it.

Security Measures

We use measures including HTTPS, server-side authorization checks, API rate limits, upload-size limits, StoreKit transaction verification, and log alerts to reduce the risk of data disclosure and API abuse. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
